Learn how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot productively, safely, and critically in your daily work. You’ll work with Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel, craft effective prompts, and systematically review AI-generated results.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant built into Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel. It helps you draft documents, follow up on meetings, create presentations, and analyze data in Excel. A Microsoft 365 Copilot license is required for the exercises.
This training is designed for professionals and knowledge workers at Microsoft 365 companies who want to use Copilot effectively in their daily work. You don’t need any prior experience with generative AI, but you should be comfortable using Microsoft 365.
Four chapters guide you from the basics to your own cross-app capstone project.
You’ll understand what Microsoft 365 Copilot is and how it differs from ChatGPT. You’ll use passive features like meeting recaps in Teams and email summaries in Outlook, and learn about Copilot’s privacy architecture.
You’ll learn the four-element structure for effective prompts and practice drafting, rewriting, and summarizing in Word. In Outlook, you’ll use Copilot for email drafts, coaching, and triage. In the mini-project, you’ll convert a meeting transcript into a marketing template.
You will work without templates and practice iterative prompting. Using the R-K-I method, you will systematically evaluate AI outputs. You will use Agent Mode in Word and create presentations in PowerPoint, from the briefing to the speaker notes.
You work with Copilot in Excel and learn when classic formulas remain the better choice. You combine Copilot functions from all M365 apps into a single workflow and implement your own use case across at least three apps in the capstone project.
