What is Data Engineering?
A data engineer ensures that data is reliably available—the foundation for analytics, BI, and AI. With this training, you’ll demonstrate your ability to build and operate data pipelines and cloud data infrastructure. Your StackFuel certifications and portfolio will make this clear to employers.
Why is this data engineer training course helpful, and what benefits do the certificates offer?
You'll learn how to collect raw data in a structured way, transfer it to data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures, and process it using Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and Synapse. Using Python, object-oriented programming, and SQL, you’ll build a solid foundation; with AI tools and n8n, you’ll automate workflows; and through business analysis, you’ll learn to model processes and requirements. In the capstone project, you’ll plan and present your own end-to-end data project in the cloud, and in a portfolio project, you’ll build a portfolio of work to include in job applications. - What for? So that you can prepare for change initiatives in a structured way, involve stakeholders in a targeted manner, and enable decisions to be made on a solid foundation.
- Practice: For your final project, you will develop your own project proposal and present it to stakeholders.

- What? You'll learn n8n from the basics all the way to robust workflows, integrate APIs and data pipelines, use LLM nodes with advanced prompt engineering, and build AI agents with memory, knowledge integration (RAG), and tools.
- What for? So you can automate recurring tasks without programming and operate AI solutions in a reliable, privacy-compliant, and quality-assured manner.
- Practice: In this hands-on project, you will design, implement, and present your own automation solution over the course of four sprints and earn certification in AI – Workflow & Automation.

- What? You'll learn the basics of Python and work with pandas and matplotlib, use SQL and APIs in Python, and apply statistical methods as well as linear and logistic regression.
- What for? So that you can analyze company data on your own and visualize the results in a way that is tailored to your target audience.
- Practice: You'll analyze New York City taxi data and, as your final exam, work on a case study involving customer churn at a telecommunications company, which you'll discuss with our coaching team.

- Practice: You'll work on the project on your own or in a small group, receiving feedback from our coaches, and present it online to participants and StackFuel employees.

What hands-on projects will I work on during the Data Engineering training program?
You'll implement three mini-projects in the Data Engineering module: an Azure data pipeline, an ELT pipeline for a cloud data warehouse, and a lakehouse solution using Delta Lake and Synapse. In addition, you’ll develop your own CustomGPT, conduct a customer churn analysis, complete the capstone project—an end-to-end data project on Azure—and work on a portfolio project. Our coaches will provide you with feedback.
Who is the Data Engineering continuing education program designed for, and how does it differ from continuing education programs in data analysis and data science?
The Data Engineering training program is a good fit if you want to prepare data for analysis and AI. Focus: Data Engineer; Level: Advanced. You have professional experience in advanced programming with Python or in analyzing large datasets. The focus is on cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and Lakehouse in Azure—not on analysis or models.
How long does the data engineering training program last, and how does it work?
The Data Engineering continuing education program is a full-time program and lasts 9.5 months for the Data Engineer track. It consists of 8 modules, including a portfolio project in which you’ll apply what you’ve learned. You’ll learn during set class times with live sessions led by our coaches. How can I finance my data engineering training?
With an education voucher, the Jobcenter or the Agency for Employment will cover 100% of the costs if you are registered as unemployed or a job seeker.
