When are you eligible for funding?

Overview of your funding opportunities

The federal and state governments can subsidize your professional development at certified educational institutions, such as StackFuel, by reimbursing you. In general, most of the support programs apply to the unemployed, employees at small and medium-sized companies, graduates or older employees.

You're unemployed.

You’re particularly eligible for subsidized training if you’re currently unemployed or looking for work. This is often aimed at improving your chances in the job market and reintegrating you into working life. Expanding your professional skills is also useful to you if you are facing unemployment.

You're employed.

If you’re employed, there are various forms of support available. A training course through the employment agency can be of particular interest to you if you are at risk of unemployment. This is the case, for example, if you are working in an occupational field, which you are not sufficiently qualified for. In principle, as an employee, you benefit specifically from the Qualification Opportunities Act - regardless of age, qualification or company size.

If you’re unemployed or looking for work, the first step for you is to make a personal consultation appointment with your case worker at the employment agency or job center. If you’re employed, you should first speak with a contact person in your human resources department. Alternatively, you can also contact us directly for advice.

Read more about your funding options for continued professional development in our blog post. We have compiled the most important programs for you. Depending on the program, you will need to meet specific criteria.
